Orgo at NYU is Hard!

It isn’t just you! Orgo at NYU is especially difficult. Arguably it is the hardest place to take Organic Chemistry in the city. But why is this?

Largely, it is do to the fact that the course was taught by a professor named Maitland Jones for over 15 years. Dr. Jones wrote his own textbook and essentially fashioned the entire Orgo department around his teaching methods, his textbook, and his exam questions.

Dr. Jones expected a very high level of understanding of the material from his undergraduate students. He ensured that students who relied on memorization, as opposed to truly understanding the material and the mechanisms, would fail his course.

Having tutored NYU students in Orgo for over 10 years, I have mastered the process of helping undergraduates truly understand the material in the style of Dr. Jones. I know exactly how this material is tested and have seen countless exams and practice questions to ensure that my students are very well prepared for their exams. You will still need to work hard and study a lot, but with me as your guide, learning will be much more efficient, effective and (I’m not joking) fun!

I usually meet with my NYU students at local cafes including Spring Cafe Aspen and Think Coffee.
